‘REEDY CREEK RICHES’
Commissioned mural for Bridge Road Brewers, Beechworth, March 2023.
The concept for this mural had a starting point at local nature spot, Reedy Creek, in the Chiltern-Mount Pilot National Park, between Beechworth and Chiltern. The digital collage below was created with images taken along Reedy Creek - lichens, granite, fungi, eucalyptus leaves and native wildflowers
Images were carefully chosen to create interesting patterns and shapes as well as to tie in with the green, grey and yellow in the supplied colour palette.
The contemporary landscape image was ‘reconstructed’ to create a modern mural design for the walkway from Ford Street into Bridge Road Brewers.
